Mitel intends to manufacture discontinue the below products, such that they will not be available for purchase as of November 1, 2013 or while existing inventory supplies last. Purchase orders for the part numbers listed below will not be accepted after midnight on October 31, 2013. Orders will be accepted on the basis of stock availability.

Mitel's UC360 Collaboration Point was designed with flexible interoperability in mind. Being SIP and H.264 standards based, it can function behind a number of communications platforms, not just those from Mitel, like the Mitel Communications Director and the Mitel 5000 Communications Platform. It also inter-operates with a number of video conferencing (VC) solutions including desktop SIP-based video clients and room-based VC solutions.

Mitel has announced changes to the free Unified Communicator Express (UCX) client program. The existing free of charge UCX client program for MCD & 5000 platform deployments will be ending May 31st, 2013 and will be replaced with a free Unified Communicator Advanced (UCA) Basic client. Chargeable UCX deskphone control and UCX softphone client part numbers will continue to be made available.
Mitel has announced the General Availability of NuPoint Unified Messaging, Release 6.0. This announcement provides new information about enhancements and changes to the Mitel NuPoint Unified Messaging™ (UM) product that will be delivered in this release of NuPoint, and included in MAS 5.0.
