Mitel Wins Prestigious Nemertes PilotHouse Award

Mitel has been awarded the 2012 Nemertes PilotHouse Award (Market Challenger category) for IP telephony products. Awarded by Nemertes Research, IT professionals gave Mitel top marks for value, customer service and technology. Results are based 100% on the experiences of IT decision-makers who rate leading IP telephony providers of IP call-control servers and handsets/softphones. These and other similar unsolicited award results can help influence IT professionals as they create or reassess their IP telephony strategy.

Mitel’s overall rating from 2011 – 2012 went from 3.43 to 4.10 topping Alcatel-Lucent, Siemens Enterprise Communications, and Shortel. Mitel improved in all areas:

  • Value (3.44 to 4.30)
  • Technology (3.39 to 4.10)
  • Customer service (3.44 to 3.90)

Value: Mitel surpassed all vendors in value. Mitel’s shift in focus toward virtualization and its ability to explain the value proposition of its virtualized offerings has gained traction with customers. IT professionals say, with Mitel, they receive value-added features for the price.

Technology: Mitel’s technology score reflects leadership in the area of virtualization. Continued VMware integration, along with enhanced cloud-based offerings and mobility integration, will help Mitel to maintain this position.

Customer service: Customer service scores place Mitel in the top 50 percentile. The organization has opportunities for improvement as it continues to help organizations support Mitel virtualized solutions.
